These network-wide rules apply to all Minecraft servers within GalaxyWay, as well as to the GalaxyWay website. You can find more specific rules for each gamemode/environment in its appropriate category.

Permanent Bans

Follow Minecraft's End User License Agreement

Be respectful with all members

Be respectful to others , No death threats, sexism, hate speech, racism (NO N WORD, this includes soft N). No doxxing, swatting, witch hunting. If any of these examples are said/done, it will most likely result in a ban.

No NSFW content

Anything involving gore or inappropriate content is not allowed.

NSFW = Not Safe for Work.

This would result in a ban.

No malicious content

No grabify links, links to viruses, or token grabbers. If you fail to follow this rule, it will most likely result in a permanent ban.

Temporary Bans

No Lag Machines

We do not allow purposeful lag machines in the Minecraft server of any kind. However, legitimate redstone contraptions you build, for example, that happen to cause a lot of lag are not temporarily-banable; but we may ask you to edit/remove them to ensure the server performs at a stable rate. If you build machines that are obviously supposed to cause a lot of lag, it will most likely result in a temporary ban.

No Advertising

We do not allow advertising in the Minecraft server of any kind, apart from advertising of in-game things such as shops. If you fail to follow this rule, it will most likely result in a temporary ban.

No Xraying or Hacking

We do not allow any Xray mods or resource packs, or any hacks in general. This also includes auto clicking; Auto clicking via any external programs is banable as it is a form of hacking. You are allowed to use methods such as using weights on your mouse, or using the F3 + T trick. Macros are also prohibited. This would result in a temporary ban.

No Prohibited Modifications

Do not use modifications that give you an unfair advantage. Furthermore, use of any modification is at your own risk and could result in a ban, even if it falls into an allowed function listed below, or has been given as an example below. If you're unsure, please open a ticket on our Discord Server prior to using that modification.

Allowed Mod Functions:

• Performance Improvement Modifications  - Modifications which simply improve the performance of your client are allowed. For example, Optifine, Sodium, etc.
• HUD Modifications - Heads-Up-Display mods are allowed, as long as they only show information which would already be available to you. For example, armour status/display mods (of your own armour) are allowed, as you can already access that information from your inventory. Mods such as minimaps, however, are prohibited because you would not be able to see that information otherwise.
• Cosmetic Modifications - Modifications which change the look and feel of the game are allowed. Examples of this include shaders, resource packs, mods such as the Falling Leaves mod, Fullbright, etc. However, these mods must not be able to change the properties of blocks, or the player's perspective. 

Prohibited Modifications:

Whilst there is no specific list of categories or specific modifications which are prohibited, please use common sense. If it provides the player with a significant advantage, then it is not allowed, even if it also falls into one of the functions above. Anything that does not fit into any of the categories above is disallowed by default.

Exceptions:

• Litematica - This modification is allowed, since we like to heavily encourage building on our network.

Do not discuss about sensitive topics

This isn't a debating Minecraft server, keep sensitive topics out of here so we don't have a ton of nasty arguments.

Mutes

No spamming in the chat

Do not spam messages in the chat. If you fail to follow this rule, it will most likely result in a mute.

Swearing

This is a family-friendly Minecraft server. We do not promote the use of bad language.

Bypassing

This is when you spell words or phrases incorrectly to outsmart the chat censor. This will result in you being muted and depending on the seriousness, possibly kicked.

Note

Use common sense

Please use common sense - for example, don't try to abuse loopholes around rules, as staff are still likely to punish you for the original rule. As specified in the homepage of our rules, staff have a right to punish you if they deem it appropriate. By finding loopholes around rules, staff are still liable to punish you for the rule you attempted to abuse a loophole of. That being said, it's not just loopholes. Please simply use common sense whilst in any part of the GalaxyWay network - whether that be the Minecraft network, the Discord server, the website, etc. Thank you.

These SMP rules only specifically apply to the GalaxyWay SMP server. You can find more global rules for the entire Minecraft network in the 'Network Rules' category. You must follow those network rules in all gamemodes. Network rules will not be included in this SMP-specific rules list.

Stealing

Stealing of any kind is not permitted, unless agreed otherwise by both parties involved, with evidence for this agreement. For example, in a duel; if there is an agreement from both parties and evidence for this, then the winner may be able to keep the opponent's items). Moreover, as another example, if there is an agreement of one party taking items from the other party's storage, then that is fine. However, there must be evidence, such as a Minecraft chat message, of this agreement. The action of taking items at all (without permission) is a violation of our rules - even if they are returned immediately afterwards. You are permitted to take a player's items if you kill them on your own land when they are trespassing (e.g. at your base/farm).

Killing Entities Belonging to Other Players

This includes any entities, not just 'pets'. This could include villagers for example. It is a form of griefing.

Intentionally Ruining the Experience for Other Players

This could include constantly killing them, trapping them in obsidian for instance, guarding their items if they die in order to eliminate them when they arrive, etc. Anything not already stated above/below that would have a notable negative impact on a player's experience. 

Griefing

Please do not commit griefing of any kind in the Minecraft server. If you trample a crop, you must replant it. Burning/exploding players' items intentionally also counts as griefing. You are permitted to burn/explode a player's items if you kill them on your own land when they are trespassing (e.g. at your base/farm). However, you are allowed to grief traps. You are permitted to load the chunk of a player's items in order to despawn the items. However, as stated above, you cannot guard these items (this would violate the rule of intentionally ruining the experience for others).

Trading with other people's villagers without permission

Only trade with other people's villagers if you have their permission.

War Rules

These war rules only specifically apply to the GalaxyWay SMP server. These solely apply during time of war. Wartime must first be confirmed by GappledGod in an official, written announcement. All of the above rules and network rules still apply, unless stated otherwise.

Griefing

During official wartime, buildings built either during the war, or to serve a purpose/aesthetic for the war, may be griefed. Items belonging to other players can be destroyed/griefed.

Trespassing

You are permitted to enter another player's/players' land without permission, during official wartime.

These Lifesteal rules only specifically apply to the GalaxyWay Lifesteal server. You can find more global rules for the entire Minecraft network in the 'Network Rules' category. You must follow those network rules in all gamemodes. Network rules will not be included in this Lifesteal-specific rules list.

Lifesteal itself has no specific rules as of yet, however you must still follow all network rules.

These Discord rules only specifically apply to the GalaxyWay Discord server. You can find more global rules for the entire Minecraft network in the 'Network Rules' category. You must follow those network rules in all gamemodes. Network rules may not be included in this Discord-specific rules list.
